The story behind Skairo

Our starting point

It started with
aircraft access.

More flying, without the commitment of owning an aircraft. That is the idea Skairo was built around.

Today, the business brings together private charter, ground handling and self-fly aircraft hire. Different customers, different requirements, with a direct route to the people arranging each service.

Technology is part of that business, not a separate story. Our self-hire app brings the aircraft search, pilot requirements and hire-request journey together.

And pilots taking the controls themselves.

Image notes

The hero is AI-generated illustrative brand imagery using Skairo's logo, not a photograph of Skairo equipment, an owned fleet or a facility. The service images combine founder-supplied aircraft photography with illustrative ground-support photography by Chris / Pexels. Aircraft shown are not advertised hire inventory; third-party imagery does not depict a Skairo base, team or partner.

Introducing the Skairo app

Aircraft access,
in your hands.

A dedicated self-hire journey for pilots. A place for aircraft owners to take part.

The pilot preview shows aircraft search, the Skairo Pass requirements checklist and a draft hire request. Owners can speak to us about offering their aircraft for hire.

Product preview

The app is not live yet. Screens use example aircraft, prices, dates and status information.

Our approach

Clear about
what comes next.

The service may change. The need for clear requirements and a responsible decision does not.

01

A request is a starting point.

An enquiry is not a booking. Availability, scope and terms need to be agreed before anything is confirmed.

02

Responsibility stays clear.

Aircraft operators operate charter flights. Local providers deliver the agreed handling services. Owners and operators retain the relevant self-hire decisions.

03

Technology supports the process.

A screen cannot replace pilot eligibility, aircraft checkout, insurance requirements or an operating decision. Those checks remain part of the journey.
